I initially went in for treatment of a cavity. After the student provider performed the procedure, my tooth pain significantly worsened instead of improving. Due to the increasing pain, I eventually had to seek care at another dental clinic, where I was informed that I needed a root canal treatment on 30th tooth. In addition, before proceeding with treatment at NYU, I clearly informed the student provider that my NYU student insurance almost expired and that I planned to stop treatment. I was told that they would check whether my insurance coverage could be extended. Based on that understanding, I agreed to continue. I was asked to sign a consent form, but I was not made aware that this included agreeing to out-of-pocket charges. I later received an unexpected bill. As an international stu
They have a lack of communication. They say I am the first appointment when I get there. I have to wait an extra 1520 minutes because someone is there before me which makes no sense to me. Why are you telling me that I’m the first appointment but I have to wait an extra 15 to 20 minutes because there’s somebody in front of me they have horrible attitude. It’s like they just don’t care. senior Doctor is very rude. The problem really is in front of the house. For a company that is worth millions of dollars you guys have to get your stuff together. This is very unacceptable. My time was wasted and I value my time that is one thing you don’t get back.
Great experience at the dental school. I prefer teaching hospitals as I feel they’re overlooked. Great prices and professional service. My two dentists were great. Lose a star because I was charged for a service I was told was included (also didn’t need the cleaning included). I received bill the day of which I was expected to pay at reception. I’d originally paid the first fee at reception. Had a treatment plan drawn up. Second visit surprise fee in my mail box as I was leaving for the appointment. I will take this up with billing. I thought I was having the first part of the treatment but it was more of a check up. On all occasions my dentists checked with a senior member of the clinic. I was advised of the best teeth bleaching items for my sensitive teeth and a mold was made for me. I
The Dental University is pretty good. Always ask for an Xray before an extraction especially for kids. The Downside is Billing department. They are so backwards. They prefer cash payment over prior authorizations of insurance companies. And the paperwork on prior authoeizations is simple so really do not understand why we need to pay cash when its simple for the billing department to do the work as that is why they are part of the process.
Had a procedure sched for today only to be canceled cause they neglected to tell me it's need provider then with clearance from my Dr. This appt was sched 6 month ago. I have receive text reminder and 2 phone call and this was never mentioned at all. Incompetence
