Absolute joke. Had to call them five minutes after 8a when they're supposed to be open to unlock the front door. When i did get inside I was told that there was no healthcare provider in the building as they hadn't shown up yet. Ridiculous.
On October 17th, 2024, my wife and four children were leaving the Baton Rouge Zoo when my wife, who was 15 weeks pregnant, began to bleed suddenly in our car from her womb. The bleeding had came on very quickly and increased greatly within just a few minutes. We had started to make our way towards the hospital, but this was around 4:30pm so traffic was very bad. According to Google map with current traffic we were at least 40-50 minutes from the hospital. We ended up in traffic in front of Ochsner Urgent Care at 10513 Sullivan Road Central, Suite 100, Baton Rouge, LA 70818. In an act of desperation with the bleeding getting worse, we pulled into Ochsner Urgent Care hoping to get some kind of help. We were fully aware this was not a hospital, but we had hoped that we could at least get some
Since Central Stat Care’s owner was arrested for tax evasion, my family and I started going here. On December 6th, I was having excruciating stomach pains, like doubling over in pain. My sister walked me inside about thirty minutes before they closed, but it seemed they had no interest in servicing anyone else that night. I repeatedly told the nurse I was not CRAMPING, it felt like something was pushing against my gallbladder. Still, the nurse proceeded to prescribe me something for stomach cramps. My sister and I actually HEARD the nurses arguing outside about the medication they were prescribing me because I repeatedly said I wasn’t cramping. They made it more than obvious they were trying to get me out of there as quick as they possibly could because they were ready to lock up and go ho
I loved my experience here! There was one patient being tended to when I arrived. I was instructed to take a seat and would be attended to shortly. I was immediately called up once the patient in front of me was taken to the back. She took my information, and I started with, “Can you check if you take my insurance?” I showed her the card, and she asked if it was out of state. I’m from Louisiana, just not Baton Rouge. She proceeded to enter all of the insurance information, along with my parents’ information, since the insurance is through them. After almost 15 minutes of inputting information and looking, she was able to pull it up. Apparently my insurance is a smaller name under a larger name. I was incredibly appreciative of her time spent trying to get me the care I so desperately neede
After arriving within the hours of business, I bumped into an employee holding keys. I stated you all don’t choose until 7:30 correct. She responded, “Yes, but I’ll see if the provider will accept you.” As she went to the back, I can hear her speaking with someone who states, “How did she get in the door. We are about to close.Tell her no.” The employee returned to relay the message. This was extremely unprofessional to have hours of operation yet, to operate as you see fit.
