Olympic View Post Acute (Formerly Olympic View Care)

DO NOT send your loved ones here. The set up is completely substandard and NOT safe. My Mom was left in her bedroom with no assessment, no check that she was safely seated and situated. The nurse never did come in to see her. The food was not suitable at all for an elderly person. The place smelled of urine. The furniture doesn't work properly and there is not enough space in the patient rooms for the occupants to ambulate safely without tripping over furniture or each other (they're double-occupancy rooms). The beds don't have safety rails. The staff are nice, but seem under-qualified. This establishment should not be allowed to remain in business as it is.

Ever since the new administration took over, the difference has been remarkable! The environment is now exceptionally clean, fresh, and well-organized. The staff are more welcoming, always wearing warm smiles that reflect genuine care. You can truly feel the nurturing spirit in the air — they prioritize both residents’ and staff wellbeing, creating a peaceful and positive atmosphere for everyone. Kudos to the management for raising the standard and restoring excellence. 👏❤️

I have been providing care in long term/post acute care setting for 45 years throughout Northern Lower Michigan and North West Washington. This is the first time I can say that from top down, everyone demonstrates a genuine compassion in wanting the best for the residents. I am in awe of the radical transformations this home has made in a short time with exciting plans for the future. Even in the midst of a nation wide shortage of health care providers I see smiles and laughter every day. I would not hesitiate to bring a loved one for post acute/rehabilitative care or for long term residency. I am so happy I made the decision to join the Olympic View Post Acute family. I spent a month recovering here. The staff was amazing. They love to help people. Folks are treated like kings and queens. Great activities for patients. Clean place. Nice variety of food. Will be recommending this facility to others. P. Heathers

Word of advice: Hire an attorney before allowing any family member to be a patient at this facility. Honestly, this facility deserves ZERO stars. Unfortunately, Google requires at least 1 star in the rating. My mom was transferred to this facility from St Michael's for recovery after hip surgery. We found this facilty to be horrifyingly UNDERSTAFFED as a standard practice. Call requests are often ignored. Administration is sloppy at procedural operations. This facility is being reported to DSHS and the appropriate federal DHHS agency for exploitation of MedicAid funding. This facility is also being reported to MedicCare and TriCare for falsified insurance processing. Administration at OVC tried to remove my mother's TriCare For Life policy, and deny she even has this MedicCare WRAP-AROUND
