Oral Surgery Associates of Alaska

I had my wisdom teeth removed in August 2023. Over the phone, they are very nice people. The surgery was brutal. I was under the impression (As it was never explicitly stated) that when I paid for anesthesia, it would mean I was unconscious. But by the time they started surgery, I was wide awake. Over a year later, I am writing this, and I still remember the surgery. VERY painful. Then, a month after surgery, I realized I had a shard of bone in the back of my mouth. About the size of a rockfish otolith. They told me they would remove it for a charge, so I removed it myself. I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt, but I just received a bill in the mail over a year after the surgery date. I paid in full the first time, so it’s a surprise to receive a bill in the mail. Nonetheless

I had the absolute best experience getting all four wisdom teeth removed here. The staff was kind and very sweet. The surgeon was well versed and completely made me feel at ease. I had to change my appointment a few different times and the front desk (Lisa) was understanding and worked with me to find the right time. I felt like I was their patient for years even though I was there on a referral. I recommend this place completely!

Terrible horrible awful experience, I was told I could be seen if I was able to get there within a few hours I said ok I’d come right away, upon arriving to their office I immediately felt uncomfortable and out of place the best description I felt as if I was walking into a plastic surgery office in Los Angeles or Miami! Not to mention their lobby is completely separate from the rest of the business including receptionist desk & dental rooms etc which felt secluded and cold. I filled out required paperwork, I never did actually see a dentist nor a dental room, as the receptionist came out after turning in paperwork to inform me that after the dentist “going over” my forms advised her I wouldn’t be able to get extractions or IV sedation due too My size and weight implying the chair capacity

first off the Surgeons there are excellent, but the financial manager it a complete idiot. on my first visit my Total amount billed was 200 dollars and I didn't have the total amount so i paid 150 dollars which the financial manager gladly took, leaving me a balance of 50 dollars, basically agreeing to making payments, today i go to have 5 teeth extracted and was told my bill would be 3211.20 in that amount was the two teeth that had already been extracted, so there basically trying to bill me for the same service twice. I ask her why the change in the policy, but she denied such a thing and keep trying to defend herself instead of aplologizing and trying to work out something with a patient, I will never go back to this place as long as that moron is there.

Both my boys needed their wisdom teeth out. OSA had them both in on the same morning. They were finished and we we're headed home in less than 2 hours. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They checked on the boys the next day. The boys were already back to school. I am very pleased with Oral Surgery Associates.
