I was transferred here from HUP in order to get a room faster. Pennsylvania hospital treated me with the utmost respect and took care of all my ailments once they admitted me to the fifth floor, the med-surge floor. I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Andrew Ruff MD, nurse Jordan RN, my daytime nurse John RN my nighttime nurse Angela RN, the nursing supervisor AND FINALLY Lauren RN, another daytime nurse and just let anybody know how lucky they are to become a patient here. Also I can’t forget Tyrone the tech!

l have been receiving care at Pennsylvania Hospital for head and neck cancer at the radiation oncology department. l called for help on Sunday morning (9/12/2021) and the operator (who would only identify himself as “Steve” and declined —- even when politely pressed—- to offer his last name) initially refused to pass my phone number along to the on-call physician there for cancer patients undergoing radiology treatment. The logic he offered was that l could call back on Monday. However l on Monday l would no longer require the on-call physician as l could simply call the office so his logic made no sense. This experience is proof to me of insufficient staff oversight and training at Pennsylvania Hospital.
