PM Pediatric Urgent Care

I had the worse experience at the greenbelt location. I made an appointment via their website for 6:15pm so that when I got to the office with my sick son we wouldn’t be waiting too long, my child was extremely sick. He had been sick over week and had lost so much weight. We sat in the waiting area for over TWO HOURS. I sat there with my sick baby while we watched other families being called back to back. Imagine my shock and frustration , and then having to find ways to calm my child down while he was tired of waiting. I asked the front desk staff several times about how much longer we’d have to wait, each time I was met with a nonchalant response. When they do finally call us back, I expressed my concerns to the MA and she asked me if I still wanted my child to be seen! IF I STILL WANTED

This is my 2nd time visiting this urgent care. The first visit went smooth, I made an appointment and was seen within an hour. This time, I came during the day. Made an appointment for noon. Checked in at 1150. I waa told to wait in the car (as the lobby was full) for 30 - 45 mins. Never got a call for an hour. Came back inside the clinic at 1:00 pm. Im told we will be next to be called in. I see one or two more families get called in even though I was told we are next. Once I made a fuss about this, we FINALLY get called. I get it that this is an urgent care that takes both walk-ins and appointments so I can understand scheduling can be tough to balance but 2 hour wait for an appointment visit when told something different up front is RIDICULOUS. We had a great visit. Once we got in with Dr. Alayyan everything went smoothly. She was amazing and my children loved her. The only reason I didn’t give 5 Stars is due to the fact that an appointment was made and when we arrived there were 0 ppl in the waiting room and it still took an hour before we were seen. Also I never received a text in order to complete the check-in.

As a mother of a sick child, I left this visit hurt and disappointed because of the receptionist’s attitude and lack of care. We arrived at 8:45am for a 9:00am appointment we’ve been here more than five times because the nurses and doctors are always kind, gentle, and great with kids. I have never had an issue being seen, and we’ve had the same insurance for years. This time, I was called to the front desk multiple times and the last time I was told by “Ms.Dee” they “don’t take DC insurance” and that I would need to pay. I explained that we’ve always come here with the same insurance and asked what changed. Instead of listening, she continued repeating that they don’t take DC insurance in front of other families and while my child was still sitting sick in the lobby. It was embarrassing.

I walked in yesterday evening with 4 kids. I made appointments because I understand I have a big family and didn’t want to overwhelm the staff by walking in. I got to the appointment on time. I witnessed the MA grab my children medical bracelets/paperwork and then noticed it was more than one patient and say out her mouth “I’ll stick to my walk-in’s”. The first child appointment was set at 9:30 we didn’t go back to take vitals until an hour later. As a healthcare professional myself, I understand that scheduled appointments can sometimes run late but she blatantly overlooked my kids. The behavior is what I have a problem with. The receptionist later told me that the MA usually doesn’t work at that location and is helping out from Crofton. Another MA took us back and she was wonderful. As u
