Powell Shoes

Not the easiest place to get into if your differently abled, but manageable. Cool sun design work at entrance, really well done. Inside neat and clean. Was helped Quickly, and they know their stuff and recommendations were right on target. Great place to go to find wide shoes, mine 2x 8.5. Highly recommended for people who need wider shoes than what most places offer. Took less than two weeks to get my shoes from order to p-up.

My podiatrist referred me to Powell Shoes for custom orthotics. Althea and her staff are absolutely fantastic! Althea confirmed that I have issues with pronation. After wearing my custom orthotics for a few weeks now, my feet are improving! Thank you Althea!

Went to Powell’s because of severe ankle pain. They are very nice but completely misdiagnosed me as having plantar fasciitis. Sold me expensive inserts that did not help. Went to a podiatrist who diagnosed Haglund’s Deformity related bursitis. Got better inserts with custom heel lifts for less than Powell’s charged. Stretching, ice, and anti inflammatory have made a huge difference. Get shoes from Powell’s but go to a podiatrist for diagnosis first.

So far I have had around six or seven pairs of shoes adjusted as my right leg is an inch shorter than my left.… Terrible injury that left me with steel screws and a rod giving me a required shoe alteration in order to keep my stride even... They do a Really great job & fast. Highly Recommend!
