Dr Weerakoon discovered that my father’s SOB/progressive cough/weakness was not as Dr Oskoui had continued to telll father was secondary to old age and an old heart. He is the only reason that father’s primary lung Ca with brain mets was discovered. Apparently, it has been growing and spreading over years and even after multiple procedures, imaging, appt’s, etc…, etc…. His symptoms were blown off for several years when this type of non-small cell lung ca could have been effectively treated. Dr. Weerakoon is a very good physician and cardiologist. He immediately suspected, by just hearing father’s cough, that this was not cardiac but lung.
