I just had to fly in from Texas to advocate for my mom because the care here has been abysmal. Minus one of the desk clerks and one outstanding NP, the rest of the staff and facilities have created a condition that could have killed my mom if we didn’t act fast. My mom had hip surgery Thursday. Had a history of clots and was on a thinner. We did all the things with her hematologist, but she had extra bleeding after. They admitted her purely to monitor her. It was her greatest fear having to be admitted here and it’s proved to be a nightmare. Was supposed to be in and out. But the nurses and hospital have been grossly negligent. Call button not working (I’ve had to call the front desk from Texas), people not getting her up to walk at all for over 24 hours even though she was supposed to
