St. David's Emergency Center - Pflugerville, a department of St. David's North Austin Medical Center

I had an excellent experience at St. David's Emergency Center. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, compassionate, and efficient. I was seen quickly, the medical team took the time to listen to my concerns, and they explained everything clearly so I felt informed and at ease. The facility was clean and well-organized, and the level of care I received truly exceeded my expectations. I’m incredibly grateful for their kindness and expertise. Highly recommend if you’re in the Pflugerville area.

If I could give this Dr a 0 I would. This was one of the most unpleasant medical visits I’ve had, was very disappointed with my experience with this doctor (Dr. Emma AImanza). The physician came across as dismissive, rude, prejudice and rushed, and I did not feel heard or respected during my appointment. My concerns were brushed aside rather than addressed thoughtfully, which made the visit uncomfortable and unproductive. I expect professionalism, courtesy, and clear communication from a healthcare provider, and unfortunately this experience did not meet those expectations. I will be reporting her to the board! Also, I have friend (same race) that was treated the same way.

I came to the St. David’s ER in Pflugerville after having trouble breathing and nonstop coughing—while super pregnant—and honestly, I was nervous because of some of the reviews. But insurance-wise, it was my best option, so I gave it a shot. I’m so glad I did! The front desk nurse was amazing. I called ahead, and when I arrived she remembered me, helped me check in, and was incredibly kind and reassuring. The doctor was great too—she really listened, explained everything clearly, and walked me through the plan. They did exactly what they said they would, and I left feeling so much better. Overall, my experience was wonderful. I know there are some negative reviews, but mine was genuinely positive. Thank you to the staff for taking such good care of me!

STAY AWAY!!! I went in after getting constant notifications on my watch of extremely high heart rate. I went in to this ER and was accused of being in withdrawal following a back surgery I had last year and seeking pain meds. My blood pressure was 157/103 but the nurse said it wasn't anything they would treat and brushed off my symptoms and made me feel crazy for coming in. When the doctor came in he said I must be having an infection despite not having an elevated white blood cell count, no fever, and no symptoms of it. When I said I wanted to leave the nurses refused to pull out my IV and said I had no reason to want to leave and became argumentative.

I’ve been here for Illness and injuries and every time it’s handled in a timely manner and they have amazing staff from Drs to nurses to techs. No wait time. And they help you if you’re a cash patient with payments and financial aid. And they refer you and then check in with you after. Thank you
