St. Luke's Care Now - Whitehall (Walk-in care) and Occupational Medicine

Brought my 25 year old non-verbal autistic son for routine bloodwork. I am no newbie when it comes to this process and I am always fully prepared for a battle. Not sure what the secret sauce Emily and Tatyana have but we were in and out within 10 minutes. I must confess I had an appointment and the waiting room had more patients for 11 AM on a Saturday than I even anticipated. The two women handled my son as if he was as typical as any of the patients in the room and I believe it made him respond in one of our most positive experiences we ever had! Thank you ladies for an outstanding job!! Well done!!

want to share my recent experience because it was truly concerning and could have led to serious issues for my newborn and me. When I arrived at urgent care, I was extremely ill and in severe pain, and I had my newborn with me. The RN did take our tympanic temperatures, but she placed the thermometer on the side of my ear instead of inside. She then took my newborn’s temperature while he was fully clothed, wearing a winter hat, and wrapped in blankets. She told me he had a low-grade fever, and I explained that he was simply warm from being bundled up. I later asked the CRNP to recheck his temperature properly, and my newborn did not have a fever at all. The RN’s poor technique and lack of attention could have led to unnecessary escalation or incorrect medical decisions for my baby. As so

The worst experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care center. I took my two-year-old baby there as directed by her doctor. The receptionist was friendly, but the nurse inside was incredibly rude and harsh with my child. When I explained the situation to the nurse, she snapped and demanded that I take my baby to the emergency room. I insisted that her doctor had sent me there, but she dismissed my concerns and said that they couldn’t perform bloodwork at this urgent care center, which I knew was not true. The other nurse tried to be kind to my baby, but she seemed just as tough as the first nurse. I will never go to this urgent care center again, no matter how far I have to drive to find a different one.

I will NEVER visit this location again! I was stared at the moment I walked in… once called to the back the Dr came in and did NOT examine me especially with the complaints that I had “I expected to be examined” and I wasn’t. I was given medication “an E-script” when I wasn’t closely examined. Racism is out of control!!! I will not say the reason why I went due to them having my address “yes! It’s that serious” the way I was treated today. The Dr seem so unconcerned/ careless. Never again!
