I was recently diagnosed with Melanoma on my forearm. I contacted Skin Physicians and Surgeons in Upland, CA to get further care. The day of my consultation, I was scheduled to have further surgery 24 hours later in the early morning with Dr. Steven Chow. He was very professional and pleasant. He did the skin excision in 45 minutes and answered all my questions and carefully explained what he was doing. I was very comfortable and after he completed the surgery he explained the wound care and further follow up. I felt well taken care of and definitely recommend Dr. Chow and Skin Physicians and Surgeons Medical offices.

Dr. Chow was great. I appreciated how efficient he was with my procedure from start to finish. He had awesome bedside manner and explained everything in great detail. He answered all of my questions and concerns with care. I also appreciated his check-in call a couple days after my procedure.

I did delay suggested surgery for an entire year after diagnosis due to cost and appreciate his recommendation to seek a second opinion on the scheduled mohs surgery location (nose) because he would have to remove half of my nose. But I'm not sure why he completely dismissed even looking at the other suggested mohs surgery location (hairline) and just said let them look at that one too. Should I assume radiation is better than surgery for that location too? I had already scheduled the surgery slot so if the location scheduled should have a second opinion why couldn't the other location be done instead? No idea, because he didn't even look at it when I expressed concern. Not his error, but I wish the alternative radiation treatment option would have been suggested at time of diagnosis inste

Dr. Chow did a great job. Very professional, and very thorough. Dr Chow even called me on a Sunday on his own time to ensure everything was OK. Great follow up.

Dr Chow removed a melanoma from my back this morning. Dr Chow removed a melanoma and basal cell for me 2 years ago. Always knowledgeable, professional, gentle and funny. I respect his ability as a surgeon.
