Suburban Healthcare and Rehabilitation

The State needs to investigate immediately. Very concerning issues with staff Aids (not all but most) courteousness, compassion and most of all professional morals. Dietary staff was almost an hour late (10 am) with breakfast and very unsanitary. Immediately noticed how disrespectful the Aids are to the patients. Some staff were very helpful and compassionate with the patients. While others were dismissive and rude. It seems that the older staff members have gotten comfortable with treating every patient the same, which I find very concerning seeing that every patient may not have the same mental/physical ability. State needs to investigate.

My dad is a resident at Suburban… Ive been coming in conisitently for 2/3weeks, to help my dad who needs support for this major transition: Suburban is Beautiful for the most part, spacious rooms! I had high hopes transferring my dad here. Its pretty much always clean, and never smells.. however, the nurses have the worse attitudes I’ve ever experienced. Whoever wrote those reviews lied. It smelled the residents were in gowns all day. I never saw the food come. Beds were filthy. I never saw any aides doing rounds. There was someone screaming help all day. Some outlets missing covers. The residents don't have phones. Unfortunately my family member has to be here. I was so ashamed!

I went to visit my friend, and I notice how neat clean and organized the facility was. The Aide was very nice and kind, my friend room was clean. There were no foul smells or odors in the hallway. This is a very well kept nursing home. And I give it a 5 Star rating, and I would like to Thank Mrs Betty Merrimen for her kindness and professionalism in helping me, when I left the facility.

The physical and occupational therapy is outstanding. I would not refer this place for long term care they are always understaffed and the patient rooms have roaches!!!! I took my mother out of there!!!
