Summa Health System - Barberton Campus

Worst hospital ever, don't go here. My significant other went to the ER for a migraine. Had a ct scan completed and sent home by the nurse practitioner who said everything is normal. We'll the my chart results noted an aneurysm. Hmm kind of important. Then we had security called on us and impeded medical treatment because we didn't check in at the front door. That definitely requires harassment from security. Right? I think not. Don't waste your time at this hospital.

I brought my boyfriend to the ER after being ignored at an urgent care. The ER staff listened to our concerns and acted accordingly. The doctor's at Barberton Summa Hospital saved my boyfriend's life. We are very grateful for your heart doctors and their expertise. He definitely received top notch care. All the nurses and staff have been nothing short of amazing. I just had a knee replacement and I am not walking very well. Everyday that I visited, someone took me to him by wheelchair and the nurses brought me back to the entrance. That was very much appreciated. We almost went back to urgent care but we were too afraid of being ignored again. We are grateful we chose to go to the hospital instead. Thank you!

This hospital has came a long ways. The people that work this shift, I guess it's second shift work great, took care of me like I was a piece of gold. Very quick response and their attitude and personality was great.\nBarberton hospital, you did a great job.Keep up the good work...from Mr. Jenkins

This hospital is a joke. They should be shut down. To even call themselves a teaching hospital is comical. Let’s start at the beginning; I had 2 hospital stays here. The first stay they didn’t even notice my iv site and whole arm was swollen and hot. They eventually take the iv out and end up discharging me only for me to come back less than 24 hours later and find out that I had a pulmonary embolism that one doctor told me could have come from my arm that ended up swollen after the iv, while another doctor denied that was the case. I also had nodules on my lungs. After being discharged I was told to schedule a CT scan for a month later to check the nodules. When I arrived for my appointment they never preformed the scan and told me I was perfectly fine. A conversation that could have been

My Girlfriends Father was recently in the Barberton Hospital for some pretty serious health problems. I was impressed with the hospital in a variety of ways, unfortunately these health problems have been the frequent cause of his having to be admitted, normally into another local hospital, who weren’t terrible but Barberton made us feel like he was in much hands, their very professional and will actually treat you as an equal to them opposed to being a condescending presence like some other hospitals do. The proactive roll the entire hospital health care team assigned to him had was highly impressive to say the least. The nurses on his unit were all amazing and treated him with dignity, professionalism and respect, they were all polite and courteous, they all made us feel like he was in gr
