Sutter Urgent Care

The nurse did an initial assessment and I got taken in very quickly. The doctor examined me and then explained how he was treating my condition and what he would recommend to do when we got the results. I really liked that the doctor explained in detail everything he was doing. The treatment worked and I was feeling much better. He then explained medication he was prescribing for me, why, and how and when to take them. I got written information to take home and execute his instructions.

I was a walk-in for the urgent care on a weekday morning. Every interaction I had was extremely friendly and professional. The wait was extremely minimal, and Dr. Yamada was absolutely phenomenal. I wish every doctor I interacted with was like Dr. Yamada. She's the type of doctor that doesn't make you feel rushed or dismissed, while also being considerate of time/waiting/etc. She seemed extremely motivated to find the root cause of my issue that I had been having the past month or so, and was able to help me and figure it out where others were less-than-successful in their diagnosis. Truly amazing - thanks again!

I had to go to the urgent care at 6:30 PM, they close at 8 PM. I appreciated the clear communication on the time it would take to access the situation and glad that they were able to take me in. Everything moved pretty fast once the triage was done and was done by 8:30 which was past their end of day. I loved that I was told the appointment would go beyond the 8 PM mark and that they may not take me in after triage if it would take longer. Thank you to everyone who helped me out.

Every member of the staff listened to me, was kind and careful. I was interviewed by a nurse a few minutes after arriving and given an EKG immediately. I was warned that the time to see a doctor may be 45 minutes. In fact it was less. The doctor was thorough and I felt the treatment I received was excellent.

I want to begin by saying that everyone I interacted with was polite. My issue is not with tone or bedside manner, it is with the quality, completeness, and efficiency of the medical care I received. I am from out of state and chose Sutter Urgent Care because they have good reviews and their website indicated that my out-of-network insurance was accepted. Once I arrived, I was told they could try to bill my insurance but that it might not be accepted. That was frustrating—though more a reflection of broader insurance dysfunction than the staff themselves (unless the website is inaccurately advertising accepted coverage).
