TERRIBLE experience all thanks to Lily (picture of her FOLLOWING us into another store attached). After reading a few reviews I have seen I am not the only one to have had a bad experience with her (older asian lady). I entered the store to buy a single item with a friend (box of alani energy drinks) and when I went to the empty self check out (side closest to the UCI busses) she told us that we needed to use the other side of the store which we did without issue and then headed back to the same side to exit to a full line of self check out (i dont know why everyone else was able to use them but not us). THEN she proceeded to stop ONLY us asking if we had paid for our singular item, and took several minutes checking our receipt. Asking us for todays date, checking the date on her device, s

Lily has terrible customer service. The other workers there have been lovely but I have heard many complaints about this worker. She commonly inconveniences shoppers by not being able to check receipts correctly at check out and unable to check IDs for purchases such as cold medicine. I personally have seen and experienced this, and after hearing another complaint about her from another student it seems like Lily doesn’t want college students shopping at the Target practically attached to the campus. Again there is nothing wrong with the college, students, or other team members, it is just lily.

I will be so honest, had an embarrassing experience here due to an older woman with dark hair and of asian descent. I will avoid this target from now on. I suspect she has account on here named Lauren as this account continues to leave a positive review talking about customers’ “narrow mindedness” even insulting UCI as an institution. I have been working up the courage to write a review here and every time I check, the same google account reposts an insult towards their customer base. Obviously this employee is writing reviews to cover up the negative ones being written about her instead of actually changing her behavior at work.

I was shopping and at the closing hour, a young female employee came over, “the register is closed, so take your stuff and walk over there.” I don’t know if that’s just general low EQ, delulu on authority, or just inability to form sentences. Maybe consider training your employees?

i have been going to the target for about a year now (just started college), but last week, i had the most uncomfortable, most unprofessional encounter with a worker ever. i went in to buy dayquil/nyquil, and at self-checkout i needed to have id verification. i pulled out my passport card (don't currently have a driver's license) and the employee working (middle-aged, dark hair pulled back in a ponytail, asian) was very hostile to me. i don't think she had seen a passport card before, when i gave her my card she wouldn't let go of it, and called over another employee who recognized that it was a valid form of identification. however, she continued to be skeptical. she used the scanner to scan the back of my id but i could clearly see it wasn't angled correctly, when it wouldn't scan she ca
