Doctors are all very good, most excellent, but the Nuvance system is not made for people - it is made for the shareholders. This is a money-making concern, patients are far down on the list of priorities. The poorly designed communications system is a lawsuit waiting to happen - just try getting through on the phone, and your desperate notes on the Patient Portal messaging system may - or may not - be read. When I wrote the CEO of Nuvance (this was about another office, not the Heart Center) about my husband going a week without life-saving medication because the messages just kept piling up in her inbox, and nobody bothers to tell you the doctor is on vacation - I got a "thanks for sharing" response. The doctor did not have the proper information about my husband from my husband's primary physician (also Health Quest). The doctor could not go forward with the visit, yet we were still charged for the specialist visit. Even so, we were paying off the bill, but Health Quest sent it the account to Collection Bureau of the Hudson Valley. This is a horrible way to do business. Needless to say, after that visit my husband changed doctors (and network) and he has received the care he needed.
