The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy

It's pretty easy to call in for a prescription refill - they have an automated service or you can talk to the counter staff if you forget/lose your script # If I walk in and wait for a refill, it's usually 30 minutes or less until the pharmacist is done preparing it. They're pretty fast. I haven't interacted with the pharmacists here directly because I usually don't have questions about my prescriptions. My doctor only uses this pharmacy for special medications (compounded) and explains the script to me during my usual appointments. The hours here aren't very convenient. Being open 1 weekend day or even staying open just an hour later to 6pm would be super helpful for my schedule, and probably for a lot of other full time workers' schedules. I only used them once yesterday but I’m switching over today! They seemed amazing a little jumbled but there is a problem with Mainecare right now so I totally understand! Even with the issues, they still filled my prescription within the hour of getting it from my doctor. Very friendly staff they really seemed to care!

I've come to this pharmacy many times for my mother and they go OUT OF THEIR WAY to help. They work unbelievably hard. Excellent pharmacy.

The worst pharmacy in the area - difficult to work with and incredibly poor customer service. Provided expired medication and then refused to replace without charging (even after already getting prior approval). Stopped billing through insurance in order to charge full price without any notification. Only able to get away with being such a nightmare to deal with is because they are the only one in the area that compounds medications. EDITED TO RESPOND TO COMMENT: 1. I called to put in a request two days before the intended pick up which your employee said would give the message to Dave... Which they obviously didn't.
