The Pearl of St Charles

My family and I are grateful for the care our loved one receivesd at The Pearl of St. Charles. The staff had been compassionate and attentive. The nurses and caregivers treat residents with dignity and respect, always taking the time to listen and respond to their needs. There are always activities and programs that encourage social interaction and engagement, helping residents stay active and connected.. We highly recommend this long-term care home to anyone looking for compassionate and reliable care for their loved one.

I’ve been a resident here for several months due to heart issues and strongly recommend The Pearl of St. Charles. The administrator, Sandra is highly involved and is genuinely concerned about the residents and their needs. Her leadership is a primarily reason why I strongly recommend The Pearl. The DON, Daz, is actively involved as well and can be seen daily on the floor assisting nurses and CNA’s and encouraging residents. Her staff is very very good. I can’t thank my nurses and CNA’s enough. They have become friends. There are so many people to highlight- the nurses, CNA’s, admissions, wound care, Physical Therapy/Restorative Care, kitchen staff, maintenance, cleaning, activities, social services, and I’m sure I’m missing someone. We came in to visit a family member two days in a row. The facility needs a thorough cleaning. The floors are disgusting. Dirt and pieces of paper all over the floor. The room of the resident was also very dirty. Diaper, pads and food all over the floor.

I am very disappointed with the social worker at this facility- Gabrielle. He has only been here for about two months, but in that time he has shown a lack of professionalism and accountability. He repeatedly disregards important information that is shared with him and has been unhelpful in situations where support is truly needed. Unfortunately, he also seems disengaged and shows little empathy, which is extremely concerning in a nursing home setting. This is not the right environment for someone who does not genuinely care about the people they are supposed to help.
