Dr. Beaumont was my "second opinion" neurosurgeon for what is called a colloidal cyst. Apparently, the "first opinion" neurosurgeon thought I was a "rare and complicated" patient, which is why I asked for a second opinion. The difference between first and second opinions was incredible. Dr. Beaumont came into the exam room with a level of confidence that immediately set my nerves at ease. He allowed me to record his conversation with me so I could share it with my family, and TBH he was a literal "human encyclopedia" on the subject of my condition. My ENT discovered a large olfactory groove meningioma tumor siting at the top of my sinus/base of my skull and immediately referred me to Dr. Beaumont. What a blessing! When I first saw Dr. Beaumont he took his time to review my MRI, explain my case, and give me a recommendation: bicoronal craniotomy, the ear to ear incision to resect the tumor. He was very clear on why he suggested the approach and that definitely put me at easy. He saw me as a human being eager to live and survive this tumor. I had a councel with Dr B. in 2022. He was so informative very polite, sensitive, and made me feel at ease towards my diagnosis. If ever I decide to have surgery for my Chiari Malformation, I will definitely have Dr Beaumont do my surgery.
