Urgent Cardiac Referral Scheduled 3 Months Out - System Failure I want to share my experience with UCHealth's referral and scheduling system to warn other patients, particularly those with urgent cardiac issues. Timeline of Events: Jan 30, 2026: Abnormal stress test at UCHealth showing cardiac ischemia (inadequate blood flow to heart muscle) Feb 4, 2026: My doctor placed an URGENT referral to UCHealth Cherry Creek Cardiology with orders for consultation and echocardiogram Feb 5, 2026: Called UCHealth Cardiology - they had no record of referral Feb 6, 2026: Called UCHealth Inverness (where I had the stress test) - they confirmed referrals take 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS to process, and cardiology is currently scheduling new patients beginning in MAY 2026 The Problem: My doctor marked this refe

If I could give this place a -1000 I would. Due to their lack of compassion for patients and the need to rush them along. My dad is in the hospital with a stroke from something that he was proactive and could’ve been prevented, but it was completely dismissive by them. My dad’s whole experience with them was just a nightmare and I warning people to please do your research and advocate for yourself. When my dad originally got his appointment, he was given the wrong address two weeks ago and showed up at a different location. The staff was professional and welcoming. Dr. Cotter took the time to answer my questions and to explain the reasoning underlying his treatment recommendations.

Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Strived to make me comfortable and at ease as a new patient.

The experience of trying to book a test with the Heart and Vascular Center was terrible. It is impossible to get a person on the phone. I waited on hold for 15 minutes, then was transferred two times and then the system disconnected me. I'll take my business elsewhere.
