Dr. Hillary Newsome performed my facial reconstruction during my melanoma cancer surgery alongside Dr. Phan, and I am incredibly grateful for her care. As the only board-certified specialist selected to handle my reconstruction, I felt confident in her expertise from the start. She was kind, thorough, and never made me feel rushed. Although she was preparing for maternity leave, she made sure to perform my surgery so I would have continuity of care. She even continued to personally monitor my healing process while on leave, staying in touch and reviewing updates. Dr. Newsome combines exceptional surgical skill with genuine compassion. I highly recommend her.

I had surgery on my nose a few days ago, I want to thank UConn ENT surgical team, the nurses like HEATHER, DENISE and others that treat me with respect and dignity along with professionalism. And thanks to my surgeon Dr.SETH BROWN , to make me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and above all, after the surgery didn’t feel any pain or discomfort that I read are common after surgery, liked your personality, your respect for your patient and your professionalism. Thank you

I was in to see an audiologist for APD. I repeated multiple times to both the audiologist intern (who was lovely) and Dr. Alkabasi that I knew my hearing was actually pretty good, but that I struggle severely with processing things people say in conversation in loud spaces like at parties or restaurants. To the point that I have my girlfriend translate for me. Dr. Alkabasi seemed not to believe me and just stuck to the fact that I passed his hearing tests, even though those were irrelevant given I said multiple times that my hearing was fine. I left the visit feeling like my time had been completely wasted, and I felt humiliated that Dr. Alkabasi seemed convinced that I was making up suffering from this disorder. When I asked to be tested for APD, Dr. Alkabasi kept emphasizing that it was

Just visited otolaryngology seen by Hillary Newsome MD had the worst experience. Her answers were childish. Didn't know anything. I ask her what's the cause of it. She says why we have 5 fingers. I said because I born with it. But my nose swallow happen 6 years ago. She says God made it that's her answers. More answers like this rather then telling me. How to fix it. Why happened. Felt like she was a student then a MD doctor. Waste of time and money. Don't waste time with ucon goto a real hospital.
