I've had the best experience with urgent care here! The providers are so empathetic and are very responsive to follow up messages. I have several chronic health conditions and have not had any issues with getting prompt care. They are knowledgeable even about my somewhat unusual conditions. I have not had the same experiences as the student below and found the CastleBranch process pretty straightforward. Just follow the directions in the emails they send and do so before registration.
UMB health services recently put into place a health monitoring system (Castle Branch) without telling many students. Therefore, registration was blocked for many due to UMB not putting this system in place in a responsible way. However, the reason I'm commenting is due to the response I got when I called health services to try and get more context around the castle branch system, and what was needed from me to help in the process. To put it simply, they immediately blamed me the student. Further, the attitude and language used on the phone.... well let me put it this way, it's not the kind of response I expected given the 10k+ in fees they charge a semester. I called saying I needed shots. I was told to come for a walk-in. I drove 1 hour (I attend the Shady Grove campus). I arrived and was turned down and told that shots are appointment only. Worse than useless.
