UNC Hospitals Endoscopy Center at Meadowmont (Gastrointestinal Procedures)

I’m honestly glad I gave this place a chance despite some of the negative reviews. My experience was amazing. I was treated super well and the procedure was thoroughly explained to me. The pre-op team did a fantastic job putting me at ease and making sure I was comfortable. Everyone introduced themselves beforehand and the doctor and anesthesiologist answered every question I had. They have a great team! ❤️

Was ready for my procedure when I was approached by a Dr. who asked me why I was having this test. I explained concerns over family history of cancer and it seemed they were still reluctant to do the test as I had requested no anesthesia. Seems as though they place a higher emphasis on their own convenience over patient health. I had a good friend pass away from colon cancer 6 months after a colonoscopy where nothing was discovered. I’ll continue searching for a provider that puts patient health first.

I’m not sure who’s managing the overall practice here, but they’re doing an excellent job from a culture standpoint. All the staff members I interacted with were super nice, pleasant, and happy to answer any questions I had. The procedure was quick and was out much earlier than anticipated. Kudos to the leadership team here.

I highly recommend this location for your GI procedures. The staff is wonderful and the facility is open and welcoming. Big hugs and healing thoughts to Gina, my prep nurse, who is kind and empathetic and currently undergoing cancer treatment. She is an inspiration to me.

I just hung up with this facility, not only did the woman on the telephone, after having a referral sent to them TWO WEEKS AGO for my daughter, explain that they had No available appointments for my daughter at that location, (we'd have to go to Hillsboro which is totally understandable), but that the first opening would be in DECEMBER. She THEN proceeded to say my daughter would have to go to the Emergency room any time she has issues up until her DECEMBER appointment. If that's not Unprofessional and unacceptable of her AND the facility she represents, I don't know what is. This information has been passed on and WILL be followed up on...
