Under New Management: Sandalwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

My brother put my Mother..The filthiest. .conditions..The care ..they couldn't care less..My Mother passed away..The staff just went along with my brothers Man With A Plan..She would literally climb on me..they had an alarm on Her wheelchair..that she never needed...I tried to carry her out where she had Visiting Angels and me..my sister also wanted her out. My brother brought a lawyer made him trustee? She had Altztimers and thought she was coming home. That wheelchair..Yeah..thats like tying someone to a bed..I am glad they are under new nut...They needed to close that place down..

My 90 year old mother has been a resident for several months. My Mom has commented how nice and attentive the staff is and the meals are delicious. I've visited the facility and its clean. There always seems to be plenty of nurses and aides to attend to the needs of the residents.

Was forced to check myself out of here about a year ago, while it was operating as Orchid Cove. The staff tried as hard as they could, seeming understaffed, and underfunded. Management was furious to have someone leave against medical advice. Their failure to provide me necessary physical therapy and IV antibiotics for the first three days there made my staying there ridiculous and unnecessary. If you or someone you care for needs extended care or rehab, make sure they provide what you are there to get. They did not for me.

I would give a big fat ZERO stars for this place if that option was available. Ive been here visiting family members. This is the worst place ever. I was just in here last week and as I walked past the nursing station with several elderly sitting in chairs in the hallway some had peed themselves some had vomit all over them. They were sitting in the same condition when I had left almost 2 hours later. Sickening they way these poor people are being treated. The rooms smell like urine its very old patients are being neglected and all the owner cares about is lining his pockets with their money. Insurance companies should be notified of what they are paying for HORRIBLE care. I'm most certain there are pmenty of other illegal things and mistreatment going on in there to. My dad was here a couple of years ago don't know how it is now. But when I got him out of Sandalwood he was filthy his arm had been dislocated and the nursing home doesn't know how it happened l. He is paralyzed so he most certainly didn't do it to himself. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about their loved ones. I had to make an edit after I thought about the staff. Some of the staff members were nice but that's the only thing that place had going for itself.
