Edited to add: Finally received the itemized bill, we were charged for a heart imaging procedure that never happened, they took $1,200 from insurance with completely fake documents, then it was illegally sent to collections with no notice and they violated my toddler’s HIPAA on top of it. Only a half dozen laws broken and still not a single apology. Dirtbags. Was charged $1,500 by Phillip Adam’s office, supposedly for anesthesia during a flu shot hours away at a Seneca office he isn’t associated with. His office hung up on me and Cigna insurance representatives when contacted for explanation. Very unprofessional, very scammy, do not associate with these physicians unless you want illegal surprise bills for services they never provided. When asked for an itemized bill UPMC representatives

They sent a bill I didn't know existed for my 11 year old son to collections. He has UPMCforYou health insurance which covers EVERYTHING and has been covered for years and years. Infact, his insurance card is dated for well before the date on this bill. When I try to call and dispute, their system is down and they can't take my call.

I have been fighting my bill over and over. It gets cleared up then reappears from a collection agency It is terrible. Some of it is from 2021 and my insurance after fighting it two years ago said everything is cleared up. As if cancer isn’t bad enough

Greedy, dangerous, cowardly doctors willing to risk patients' life and limbs (literally) to make an extra buck. In that sense, these physicians are great representatives of UPMC as a whole. The conduct of these doctors is in fact so embarrassing that UPMC was sued by the federal government and agreed to an $8.5 million payout so they weren't forced to discuss their doctors' behavior in detail. Embarrassing. Seek treatment elsewhere if you can. And always, always ask for an itemized bill.

They bill incorrectly and screw up childrens credit! Horrible place with horrible people doing horrible things!
