Our dog Chester recently had to undergo not one, but two ACL(CCL) surgeries within four months of each other, and while it was a stressful time for our family, the incredible team here at Upper Canada Animal Hospital made all the difference. From the very first appointment, the staff and doctors were compassionate, patient, and genuinely cared. They took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure we felt comfortable and informed before, during, and after each surgery. Communication was outstanding!! We received timely updates during surgery, clear instructions for when we left, and thoughtful follow-ups that showed how much they truly cared about Chester’s recovery. Fantastic clinic! Was the one recommended to me when I first adopted my cat, and I was incredibly grateful for the recommendation. They treated Bubs with the love, care and attention that any pet owner would hope for their pet to receive, and made very thoughtful considerations over these 4 years tailored to his unique personality and preferences. Unfortunately we moved out of the area and had to find a new vet clinic, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Upper Canada Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a clinic to treat their pet like one of their own.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Upper Canada Animal Hospital in Niagara-on-the-Lake. They took exceptional care of my dog Sunny during his CCL tear surgery, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the team was incredibly informative, communicative, detailed, kind, and genuinely loving toward animals &their owners. Every step of the process was clearly explained, and they were always happy to answer my questions. Their responsiveness through text was amazing — quick, reassuring, and thoughtful, which meant the world to me during such a stressful time. We brought in our miniature poodle Miss Dorothy in for her knee injury a couple of months ago. If I could give 10-stars I would. Every single step of the way from consultation and surgery and after care/support, we felt very cared for through it all. Excellent service all around!! Thank you most especially to Dr. Turpel for fixing up our girl because of you she is continuing to live her best life! And thank you to Dr. Golding for taking care of us at her check up appointments! Our journey with Upper Canada began in 2019 when our precious Molly lost movement in her back leg. Our hearts were broken, thinking this can’t be helped. We were wrong. Upper Canada saved her life. She was 10 at the time and very near the end of her life expectancy but because of the staff at Upper Canada Animal Hospital Molly went on to live a happy vibrant life right up until her very last day with us. She was 15yrs and 8 months old when she crossed, a good run for a Sharpei/bulldog. Upper Canada Animal Hospital was Mollys health provider for the last 6 yrs of her life, we were so blessed to have found them.
