Urgi-KIDS Pediatric Urgent Care

Ever since they moved to east ave it just seems all over the place and not more efficient with my son when it comes to his appts. Calling/sending out text messages for reminders is important but apparently they don’t do that. (Unusual).

I called this office asking if they had availability. They said yes 3 spots at 4pm. I drove thirty minutes to this office for my 2.5 year old to be seen. I even made a second call a mile and a half away confirming I was one of the 4pm spot. I show literally 3 minutes later and a guy at the front desk said they are full. I said I just called. He says well people just walked in and I asked if they called ahead. I said well clearly it wasn’t us. He said what’s the issue? I explain I just need my son’s ears look at cause he’s running a fever. He said triage can likely take a look. So he asks this woman sitting at the front desk with him and she ever so rudely says, you can come back tomorrow. Barely could be bothered to look up. There were zero people waiting. Drove my 10 month old here because I suspected he had an ear infection. I was turned away bc my son wasn’t “up to date” with the CDC vaccine schedule. I asked why he has to be fully vaccinated and they had no response other than it was their policy. what type of child care is that? Horrible front desk staff.

I went to this office to get my 2yr old son seen. He had been running fever overnight, vomiting and poor appetite. We had a two hour wait before getting seen, they put two other patients a head of us even tho we arrived before them. The lady at the desk claim cause I was a new patient that she could not check me in until my paper work was completed. This was not explain to me on arrival to office. The address online is wrong had to go to three location before we found the place. The office is not clean you can find spider web behind the doors. The care was ok very, very focus assessment. APRN Lauren was ok. I requested to speak to manager two time was told he was too busy with meetings to speak to me. Overall I would never go back to this office for care again.

We used this center twice before with decent to good results (being given a prescription and sent back to our normal pediatrician for a more serious check after the weekend)... until we went a few weeks ago on a Saturday after our little one fell and badly hurt his mouth and face. We checked Urgi-Kids opening hours while we rushed there and made sure we'd arrive before 4:30pm (when they claim to be open until 4:45pm). After initially being checked in we were told by the doctor there that we were too late to be seen and we should come back the next morning. No pointing out that our son seemed to be in shock, had been bleeding from his mouth badly, and clearly needed to be looked at helped... they didn't even suggest we go to Norwalk Hospital ER instead (which we decided to do ourselves). J
