US Digestive Health at Newark - Apex Medical Building

I have been a patient in this practice of over 10 yrs and the last year has been dreadful. The staff lack empathy, compassion and are rude. I had an endoscopy by an MD that was not my MD because she was to booked up to see me, yet this MD that did the procedure was rude herself. After the procedure I was supposed to have a follow up appt but could not be seen for 4 months, how is that a follow up from a procedure and still symptomatic. As a healthcare provider myself I can't imagine treating patients this way. I also never received a call back regarding the results of biopsies and tests that were sent from my procedure, on 11/18, and am still waiting!! My husband is a new patient here. We waited nearly an 1 hr 1/2 to be seen for his 10 am apt. The dr didn’t even bother to introduce himself until I asked him if he was the Dr, then he introduced himself. The appointment in total was no more than 10 minutes and the physical exam less than 30 seconds. I am hoping the medication the Dr recommended does work for my husband, because we felt extremely rushed out the door once he finally was taken back for his apt. 2 stars because we will be back for a follow up they have more than enough time to improve in how they care for their patients.

If I could no stars I would . Terrible attitude and disposition from the nurses / receptionist and even the provider . Tone on phone was as if you were inconveniencing them and lacked empathy. As a healthcare provider myself I was shocked . Was told to schedule with them post dc from the hospitalization for 5 days and wasn’t accommodated even after still being very symptomatic and articulating that . Had to research other providers and ultimately traveled 45 mins to be seen as a new pt somewhere else . Thankfully I received exceptional care at other location so it worked out ! I would not recommend !

This has been one of the worst experiences ever! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. They are so unprofessional as well as suck in communication. I was suppose to have a colonoscopy done I received NO information pertaining to a prep or anything! I called the young lady informed me that she was waiting for the doctor to get back with her for prep instructions. This was the second time . I reached out to the doctors where I come from in Philadelphia to have my procedure done .This Mid Atlantic place has to be the worst ever!

I ended up with uvular necrosis after getting my EGD procedure done by doctor Jain. I tried to reach out to him. He did call me back one time, but the office staff is very unfriendly at his practice. She rushed me off the phone and gave me a very bad attitude as I was very concerned and crying for days about my diagnosis and doctor Jain told me there’s no way that it probably was not uvular necrosis because I would probably be in the hospital by now; and I went to my ENT doctor for them to check it out and it definitely is uvular necrosis. I did not have a problem at all with the nurses at the center that I got the procedure done, they were very nice, but I feel like other than that Dr Jains office is very Unprofessional and I ended up with scrapes in my mouth and necrosis from the tubes,
