My sister suffers from migraines everyday and today she got the worst news that her insurance denied her claim for having this migraine surgery. There is not enough education or information regarding the surgery and people really don’t understand the severity and how debilitating this is for someone every day other lives someone who lays in bed all day feeling sorry for themselves depressed, completely drowning. You would think that Vanderbilt had another resolution maybe possibly requesting an appeal or some type of sympathy to show that they care at least we ran a good race and helping my sister have this surgery, but there are a lot of people who suffer with severe occipital migraines and people are not educated and really don’t understand how really painful it is but to have my sister

I had my first telehealth appointment with Dr. Gretchen Schlosser Covell last week, and I left feeling so relieved. She was incredibly warm and took the time to listen to all my concerns without rushing me. I have severe anxiety, especially when meeting new doctors, but she made me feel comfortable and reassured. She already has a plan for my continuing care to help my severe migraines and cervical dystonia, which are both debilitating. For the first time in a long time, I actually feel hopeful. Highly recommend!
