Walgreens Pharmacy

I live locally and had not used this Walgreens before. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews prior to having my prescription sent here. I want to share my experience today, primarily regarding the customer service. I spoke with three different employees, and each interaction felt rushed, short, and lacking care. My prescription was supposed to be completed in the morning, but the entire day passed without any notification. When I called to check on the status, the employee who answered transferred me, and I was later told there was a supply issue. While that may be true, based on the customer service experience, it was difficult to feel confident in the explanation. The staff is great! The computer system is a swear word wrapped in dog poo. I used to go to Walgreens and had no problems. Now I call ahead, I text ahead, I receive and confirmation, and when I get there they never have my meds ready. Again, the employees are great. But Walgreens computer system is as useful as a wet sleeve. And Where’s my scripts Walgreens? THE DOCTOR SENDS THEM DIRECTLY TO YOU. So stop asking me if I have the code because YOU HAVE THE CODE. I will never never go back to the Walgreens in Mount Dora FL on HET 441. Their pharmacy staff and pharmacists are degrading and discriminatory. They treat you like you are a pain in the butt and I am on Medicare and live in Florida and WI I have a Florida drivers license and have a new appt for a Florida dr. I don’t actually have to get a Florida dr because of Medicare and I can go to any dr I want on Medicare. I have continually told them and the one Pharmacist of Indian ethnicity tells me EVERY time I come on I need a Fl dr. I have told them I have done nothing wrong . It always amazes me how companies that spend millions on marketing will turn a brand new customer into an ex-customer faster than a :30 commercial. We're new to town, first time to set foot in this Walgreens. Our doctor placed the prescription at 6:00 p.m.--two hours before the pharmacy closed. Should have been plenty of time. Simple antibiotic Rx--10 pills. But it wasn't ready and wouldn't be ready before closing. They were full of excuses why they couldn't make it happen. All of them added up to one thing: poor management. Finally, the woman at the pharmacy rudely and bluntly said, "It isn't going to happen tonight." This pharmacy is very busy, but never had a problem getting my prescription timely. Store carries many OTC (over the counter) items that aren't available elsewhere.
