Walgreens Pharmacy

Went to this pharmacy on 01/03 at 7pm and I saw 1 assistant and the pharmacist. The assistant was taking care of the drive thru and store customers. She did an excellent job of getting to people quickly and multi tasking. I also found out my insurance was not contracted through them. I couldn't wait on the antibiotics so she used a discount card that lowered my cost less than half on one antibiotic. I was very appreciative of that. The assistant deserves a raise. She's really good.

I just got a new prescription and read the personal prescription information sheet and after reading it I realized I had some questions about the medication before taking it and the instructions say to call your doctor or pharmacist so I immediately called my Walgreens pharmacist Dr Danielle Dulisse at the 12645 S. Virginia St. Walgreens and she answered every question I had and also gave me directions on when to take my other medication and supplements with this new medication. I recommend this Walgreens to my local neighbors for all your pharmacy needs.

I came to get my dad’s pain medication last night after they confirmed it was ready. The couldn’t figure out the insurance and asked if I was ok with a coupon then they couldn’t figure out the coupon and I offered to pay out of pocket and they couldn’t figure out how to make that work either. I just came back in the morning as instructed and now they are saying the prescriptions aren’t ready. They have no clue what’s going on.

Traveling, we needed Rx filled. We worked with the pharmacist & insurance to get it done. Arriving on May 4th to find the Pharmacy closed due to an accident. The Rx was moved to another Walgreens. The 2nd Walgreens never could fill the order. Meanwhile, this pharmacy reopens. We moved the Rx back to this Walgreens and the Rx was fulfilled. We go merrily on our way to Canada. Staff was professional, helpful & courteous!

I went in to get a decongestant/expectorant. The pharmacy aide tried her best to help me find one, but she didn't know the inventory. She did a smart thing in most circumstances, she asked the pharmacist for help. He had been standing there on the phone while his employee and a customer, standing in the store, were trying to find something. He pointed out that the only thing they had was a $25 pack of a brand name items. He never offered other generic medications which could be used. He never even spoke to me other than to say that's all they had. I left. The aide tried her best, but not knowing the inventory like the pharmacist, she didn't want to recommend the wrong items.
