We had a family member at Westwood. They took a chance on letting him in and the staff was just wonderful with him. He was content and we felt confident he was getting the best care we were able to arrange. The social worker, Dina, was especially helpfully in working with us and helping us understand how things were going and how we could help. I felt she took my phone calls and questions seriously.

My elderly parent is currently a resident. I am thrilled at the caring, understanding and patience the staff shows towards every single resident. The building itself is simple and basic, nothing fancy or extravagant. As my mother has grown older, her needs for care have changed. Westwood has met EVERY SINGLE NEED. I am so reassured and confident that my mother is getting the exception care she wanted.

Every time I call for my family member, I get rude women answering the phone, not giving me their name or position, and I'm not able to speak to my family member for what reason, I don't know. I guess I'll have to go there and file a full complaint to the DON.

I am currently launching a professional complaint with IDPH against Westwood Manor after “dumping “ a Thresholds client at the Pacific Garden Mission who was not able to care for himself . He was admitted via a PAS screen from Chicago Behavioral Hospital . His long-ago past was used against him , fcasw management agency was not notified , nor was a different placement even tried to be located . Bad care all the way around. Families and other professionals please take note! The people in our care deserve better !
