Whittier Hills Healthcare Center

I came here for clinicals for my program and it was such a great experience! The patients there were all wonderful and the environment was extremely welcoming which was perfect for learning. The nurses there were just as great! Aliyana, Sherley, Aline, Jackie just to name a few. All of them were great mentors which taught me the necessary skills to be a competent nurse. Kind, patient, and knowledgeable nurses! And they all treat their patients with such care which inspires me to become a nurse like them one day!

My Dad was recently taken to Whittier Hills and even though he was there for a short time the nurses were really nice and made sure my dad had what he needed and our needs were met . When dealing with his transfer the case manager Art was very helpful and on top of getting my dad’s paperwork and stuff together for us as well as his nurse Rachel. Over all they were great and appreciate them making my dads stay while he was there comfortable and safe and for the friendly professionalism and for getting things done we needed in a timely matter . I am extremely disappointed and honestly very upset about the care my mom received at this senior home. At 7:00 AM, we received a call from a nurse informing us that she was throwing up. My mother recently had brain surgery and is in a very delicate condition, so this immediately raised serious concern for our family. We arrived at 11:00 AM, and she wasn’t even with her assigned nurse — she was with her therapist — and she still had not been given any medication. Four hours later and no proper medical treatment had been provided. Given her recent brain surgery, vomiting is not something that should be taken lightly. She is in a fragile state and requires close monitoring and prompt medical attention. The lack of urgency and failure to administer medication was extremely alarming. We truste

Clean facility with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff show patience, respect, and genuine care for residents. Therapy services are organized and focused on helping patients recover and regain independence. Communication with families is clear and supportive. A dependable place for skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

My mom was there for 2 weeks. During the 2 weeks nurse Laurie was the best to make her feel at ease. She always had kind words and was very gentle with her. Art the case manager was also helpful with administrative care during her stay. I am rating them a 4-star because after her discharge I had to leave several messages and still no response. I was told her antibiotic would be sent to our local pharmacy with the information I provided but it was sent to a different pharmacy. I followed up with my pharmacy they did not have the prescription. I did finally call and it was sent. Despite those issues after discharge everyone was very kind and helpful.
