I was in the Hospital for 3 weeks due to a diverticulitis infection, at the second week mark I had no choice but to have surgery to remove part of my colon…. Dr. Gazzola far exceeded what I thought would be the best outcome! Throughout the whole time I was there he took the time to actually LISTEN to me and my concerns. I walked out of the hospital feeling grateful and blessed that he was my surgeon. Post op communication was great and I received a call back from him within hours after I had asked his nurse about things I was concerned about. Today marks week 6 after my surgery and I had my final visit with him and I feel great! I am beyond grateful for the amazing care! 100/100 recommend Dr. Gazzola 🙏🏽

Dr Gazzola is the BEST general surgeon in Fleming Island! Thanks for the life changing surgery! From my first visit to yesterday’s last visit at his office, has been 1000% satisfyingly amazing. His staff are the BEST!!! The sweetest and nicest front desk lady, professional and caring nurse, manager Nilda make me feel like million bucks even when I can barely walk at my first visit, she cares about the patients, you just know you in the good hands when you there. To be honest, I was hesitate when ER doctor recommended Dr Gazzola for my surgery, he looks young and barely any reviews of him online, so I mentioned his name on mom’s group to see if any local friend heard about him, sure enough, he was highly recommended by at least 3 friends, same feedback from them about Dr Gazzola - young but

This was my first time being a patient of Dr. Gazzola. My first impression was "he looks very young". After speaking with him and his team, I realize to "never judge a book by it's cover"! Dr. Gazzola is a VERY knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated doctor who TRULY takes his patients care FIRST! If you need a surgeon....he is by far...one of the BEST!!!! Thank you Dr. Gazzola and your team for making me feel SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

Mother went in for emergency appendix procedure. He told us if the appendix ruptured he would have to go open instead of laparoscopic. My sister and I waited outside for the cafeteria for over 3 hours waiting for a call from the circulating nurse to tell us our mother was done with her procedure. One of the nurses was on the way to lunch and saw us sitting down. Apparently our mother was in post op and we never received a call. Absolutely terrible communication. About two days later our mother was released. She was sent home on amoxicillin….. She was back in the ER a week later because she was extremely sick. Apparently her appendix actually ruptured and we were never told this by the staff or the surgeon. Let’s just say it was a long road to recovery and I would never recommend this surg
