Winchester Hospital Urgent Care - Wilmington

The only nice person who I spoke to today was the woman checking me in. I was (very much later) called by a nurse to check vitals and ask questions which she was already very quick and rushed everything she did. After finishing i was seen a little later to head into the back with the doctor. At first I requested to be seen with a woman due to being uncomfortable where my injury was, but they didn’t have any women staff which was fine. First of all, NO ONE KNOCKS WHEN ENTERING THE ROOM. Secondly, He wasn’t very helpful with communicating treatments for my injury and just kept telling me that I don't have a certain type of infection. Another woman came in to “treat” my injury, also didn’t knock, and was VERY impatient, short, and dismissive. She was rough handling my injury and gave me 0 me

A+ experience from the front desk, the intake nurse, the PA, and the x-ray tech! I appreciate everyone being so kind and knowledgeable. I only waited about an hour, which is easy breezy considering the state of ERs these days. I will definitely come back to this facility!

They are nice and helpful but not fabulous. I went there last November because I had bruised the bone on my foot, which they correctly examined. But the I waited for hours on end and missed 3 hours of the school day. The doctor said I bruised the bone, but I could walk. I had told her multiple times I could not walk without extreme pain in my foot. My mother had to request crutches and then had to request a paper so I could use the elevator at my school. I whish I could give a better review but they need to realize things and listen to the patients more. Don't come here, go to your pediatrician instead!

Waited for two hours to be seen by a PA with no bedside manner. Told me they couldn't do a flu or covid test because it would be $600 and sent me home saying there's nothing they can do for me.

Visited today on what was an extremely busy Sunday. The wait was long but manageable considering typical ER wait times. The staff was friendly, professional and positive despite caring for over 110 patients. My daughter was diagnosed, had X-rays and treated within an hour of being triaged. Great job!!!
