Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre

We visited a friend who was admitted to the emergency room here and also assisted with a check-up. The waiting time was quite long, similar to other hospitals, but that’s understandable and just requires some patience. We observed that the staff, nurses, and doctors were doing their best to provide excellent care to all patients. The hospital is well-maintained and clean, with a comfortable waiting area, as well as a café and a pharmacy conveniently located inside. The security around the hospital is also good, which adds to the overall sense of safety and organization.

If you want top notch care, kind Doctors & Nurses, then Abbotsford Hospital is where you need to go. Yes, there is a long wait- but it was worth it. I initially went to the chilliwack hospital for a suspected ectopic pregnancy because we live 5 minutes away - 6 hours later the useless doctor in chilliwack refused to give me an ultrasound, despite my spotting & previous ectopic history- he claimed nothing would be seen on an ultrasound at 6 weeks. He told me to come back if I start ‘bleeding out’ & was by far the coldest & rudest person I have ever met. Absolutely useless - I went to Abbotsford the next morning, and despite the long wait time, they took care of me really well- they even gave me a snack & drink, which I appreciated. Honestly who likes hospitals. What matters is if the staff is trying their best. Brittany in the radiographs department helped me so much- honestly whatever she’s being given is not enough, PLEASE give this girl a raise. Last time I was in for this same appointment about six months ago, it was incredibly painful. I don’t know if the girl was still training but she was pressing into my sides way too hard, asking me to hold my breath for way too long (I have a chronic cough and was very much struggling, but tried my best to follow instructions and apologized profusely if I couldn’t). Great day surgery staff. The whole process from start to finish was explained to me. They worked together to make me feel comfortable and aware of my situation. The anaesthesia doc was very understanding and patient so were the intake nurses unbelievable job. Thx to all the doctors and nurses I really appreciate your service

I had a C-section here Dr. Shone is great Dr poon is also awesome. My baby ended up in the NICU for 2 weeks and the staff in the NICU was absolutely incredible they are incredibly kind and do their best to make sure you get to go home with your baby. Dr.horvoth is great with the babies he ran every test possible to make sure my baby was okay. The food court slaps I recommend the turkey baking club or the breakfast sandwich it is killer I ate it almost everyday
