0 Stars – Avoid Dr. Shahian I had a Straumann implant placed in Toronto, and all Dr. Shahian had to do was put in the abutment and crown. Instead, he secretly used a cheap aftermarket part without telling me. Less than a year later, it broke. When I went back, instead of taking responsibility, he accused me of “grinding too hard” – as if my jaw could actually break titanium. He referred me to a specialist, but even they couldn’t remove the faulty part. The only option was to auger it out. If Dr. Shahian had done his job properly and used the genuine Straumann part, I would have had lifetime warranty protection. But because he used an aftermarket part, he voided my warranty. Dr. Shahian is one of the most honorable people I have ever met in my life—highly skilled and incredibly knowledgeable. The sense of security and trust you experience in his clinic will remain in your heart forever. Today, I went to Dr. Shahian’s clinic feeling hopeless because my tooth was badly broken. However, I’m incredibly happy now, as my tooth feels completely restored and healthy.
